Mudhol is famous for : ಮುಧೋಳ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ
1. ಕವಿ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ರನ್ನ
ರನ್ನನು (೯೪೯-೧೦೨೦). ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಕವಿ ರತ್ನತ್ರಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಇವನ ಊರು ಬೆಳುಗುಲಿ(ರನ್ನ ಬೆಳಗಲಿ). ಹಳಗನ್ನಡದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಕವಿ. ಪಂಪನ ಕಿರಿಯ ಸಮಕಾಲೀನವ . ಅಜಿತತೀರ್ಥಂಕರ ಪುರಾಣತಿಲಕಂ, ಸಾಹಸಭೀಮವಿಜಯ (ಗದಾಯುದ್ಧ) ಎಂಬ ಕಾವ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತೃ. ಶಕ್ತಿಕವಿ ಎಂದೇ ಖ್ಯಾತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ರನ್ನನಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ಯರಿಂದ ಬಹುದೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ? ಬರಿಯ ಕವಿಯೆ ಸಿಡಿಲ ಚಕ್ಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಅವರಿಂದ ಪಾತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಚಾಲುಕ್ಯರ ಎರಡನೆಯ ತೈಲಪ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಆಹವಮಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಗ ಸತ್ಯಾಶ್ರಯ ಇರವಬೆಡಂಗ ಇವರ ಆಸ್ಥಾನಕವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕವಿಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಎಂಬ ಬಿರುದನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದನು
2. ಮುಧೋಳ ಬೇಟೆ ನಾಯಿ
ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮುಧೋಳ ನಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಳಸಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದು ಮುಧೋಳ ಘೋರ್ಪಡೆ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರು. ಈಗ ಮುಧೋಳ ನಾಯಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸೇನೆ, ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಭದ್ರತೆಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಕಾವಲಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
3. ಕಬ್ಬು
ಮುಧೋಳ ಕಬ್ಬು ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ರೈತರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳು, ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ಗಾಣಗಳು ಹಾಗು ಬೆಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು.
4. ಚಿಂಕಾರ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಧಾಮ
ಇದು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೊದಲ ಚಿಂಕಾರ ವನ್ಯ ಜೀವಿ ಧಾಮ. ಬಾಗಲಕೋಟೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬೀಳಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಧೋಳ ತಾಲೂಕುಗಳ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಂಕಾರಾ ಇರುವಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೆಲವು ವರದಿಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಇದು 24,000 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಜಿಂಕೆ ಜಾತಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಚಿಂಕಾರ (ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಗೆಝಲ್) ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಸಂಕುಲವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಘನ ಸರಕಾರವು 2016ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು 'ಯಡಹಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಿಂಕಾರ ವನ್ಯಧಾಮ' ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಂಕಾರ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೊಲ, ನರಿ, ಗುಳ್ಳೆ ನರಿ, ಕತ್ತೆಕಿರುಬ, ಮುಳ್ಳುಹಂದಿ, ಕಾಡು ಬೆಕ್ಕು, ಸ್ಯಾಂಡ್‌ಸ್, ಥೀಕ್ಷೀ, ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಕರ್ಸರ್, ತೋಳ, ಕಾಡು ಹಂದಿ, ನವಿಲು, ಬುರ್ಲಿ, ಬೆಳವು, ಕೌಜುಗ, ಸರೀಸೃಪ, ಜಲಚರ, ಸಸ್ತನಿ, ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಚಿಟ್ಟೆ, ಹದ್ದು, ಗುಬ್ಬಿ, ಗಿಳಿ, ಕಾಗೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ-ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ವಾಸವಾಗಿವೆ.
5. ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಉದ್ಯಮ
ಮುಧೋಳ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಉದ್ಯಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿ ಏಸಿಯಾದಲ್ಲೇ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಬ್ಬು ನುರಿಸುವ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಧೋಳ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಸದ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ರೈತರ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಬ್ಬು ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೩ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳು ಇವೆ.
Kavi Chakravarti Ranna
Ranna (949-1020). He is one of the gems of Kannada literary poet of the tenth century. His hometown is Beluguli (Ranna Belaguli). An important poet of Halagannada. A younger contemporary of Pampan. Ajitatirthankara is the author of Puranatilakam, a poem called Sahaabhimavijaya (Gadayuddha). He is known as Shaktikavi. Can Kannada be threatened by foreigners? Kuvempu has been hailed as Bariya Kaviye Sidila Chakke by Kuvempu. The second Tailapa Chakravarti of the Chalukyas was the court poet of Ahavamalla and his son Satyasraya Iravabedanga and was titled Kavichakravarti.
Mudhol hunting dog
The Mudho dog with a historical background was first used and brought to the fore by the descendants of the Mudhola Ghorpade. Now Mudhol dog is serving Indian Army, Prime Minister Security and Forest Guard.
Sugarcane
Mudhol is famous for growing sugarcane and it is the main and commercial crop of the farmers here. As it is the main staple crop, many sugar industries, iron jaggery mines and jaggery factories can be found here.
Chinkara Wildlife Sanctuary
It is the first Chinkara Wildlife Sanctuary in the state. There were some reports of presence of Chinkara in the forest areas of Balagi and Mudhola taluks of Bagalkote district. It is spread over an area of 24,000 acres. This area was declared as 'Yadahalli National Chinkara Wildlife Sanctuary' by the Government of Karnataka in 2016 with the aim of protecting the Chinkara (Indian Gazelle) fauna and on the recommendation of the Forest Department. Not only chinkara but also hare, jackal, jackal, hyena, porcupine, wild beck.
Sugar industry
Mudhola Sugar Industry Famous in the country, Mudhola taluk has the largest sugarcane crushing plant in Asia. At present, the price of sugarcane for the farmers of the taluk and there are about 3 sugar factories in the taluk.
